Happy Father's Day

I found myself asking on this Father's Day, "What makes a good father?" Not an easy question to answer. People's truth about their fathers often are motivated by many variables. They range from fear and shame to genuine love. There is no exact just an innate acceptance of our fathers as they are. An unconditional love. I am honored to have a father and be a father. Even on the most trying of days, I am so grateful to be given this gift. First may I praise God, the one true father. To my real dad, I miss you everyday. I pray we get to share a moment before it is our time to go home. To my surrogate fathers, thank you for the privilege of your knowledge and teachings. I am a better person because of my fathers. They have taught me how to live life bigger than I could ever imagine. To them I wish "Happy Father's Day".
